The Sen is a powerful pump. It has a higher head pressure than Mag for the same volume. although, the Mag have models that pump up to 2400 GPH. Sen does not have that ( yet )

I had always used the straight Kalk injection technique and it works. Just get a turkey baster, fill it with Kalk and slowly release it in front of the Apitasia

The water line w/o air being injected must be 1" above the black housing. The skimmer works best if the whole unit is above the sump's water line. Also another trick is to have PVC tube connect the output of the skimmer and pipe down below the water line,it acts like a "siphon" and draws water...

happy to read that the Dolphins are working freat. I too have it as a Skimmer pump for my 35G tank. They are strong and for a 4 foot head they give you a lot of GPH that no internal pump can get close to. my 02 cents Joey

Joey If you are set into getting a ETSS Rd3, then modifiying the skimmer with a beckett will increase it's performance. I would reference you to a site by Richard Durso (www.rl180reef.com) and look at this fantastic site. look into filtration and into skimmers. he has a very well laid out plan...

cerreta. This models, for whatever reason, do make a lot bubbles. try putting a sponge before the intake of the return pump or at the output tube of the ETTS. But what I did observe was, after 5 to 8 weeks, all the bubbles seems to dissapear. My Home Page
