ya don't remove it. i found a white mushroom (Ricordea) in my sump that was pure white. about a couple of weeks later it has purple tips after placing it under a MH. josh

so i think the best ones to get would be some scarlets (if any). they are the most peaceful and, i think, are the best looking. thanks a lot for the info!!!!! josh

hello sponge, some people don't like them b/c they kill "good" things floating in your water. if you have live brineshrimp, or are trying to breed fish ore inverts, the will kill the eggs. MO on uv sterilizers is I LOVE THEM!!! i'm not trying to breed anything and if i was i would turn it off...

guy's right. i think angels are a little to agressive for me, but, they are very pretty. they have been known to nip at some corals and hurass some smaller clams, he should be fine just watch him. GL josh

agreed. iodine dips are common and work good. if you have a quarintine tank it would help, but if not, just keep an eye out for them

sponge_bob, i do that with my halide. i thought it helpedb/c all the light your wasteing on your hood is not in your tank. for the most part. it's not alot more but its free and won't hurt a bit. the foil will start to flake, and fall apart in 6-9 months if you have alot of salt creap. but...

ok, i cut a fluorescent blues-striped corallimorphs. he was about 3 inches round and so i cut off 3, one centimeter slivers and a day later they are curled in a little bit and are starting to look like a mushroom. any idea how long this will take to fully form? also how can i detect protozoans...
