    I would be cautious with ANY submersible bulb. Considering that one likely doesn't have 'UL approved' label on it, I would come up with a different plan. You only have 1 chance for it to be not working correctly.... Better to find anther way to control your HA. Are you running that daylight bulb...

    Thanks guys I truly appreciate the support :grouphug: I had my scans and see my Doc again this Thursday and we'll likely be making some decisions on whether to do some radiation or wait a little longer. It's complicated. all prayers and well wishes happily accepted!! Hugs to all! Kathy

    The Brooklyn Aquarium Society is very much alive and they continue to meet in the Education Hall Building each month. The BAS leans more towards Freshwater than saltwater and they have a rather large membership including many families so the kids - who do attend the meetings - will hopefully...

  12. Rockscaping question

    THIS is excellent advice. Minimalistic aquascaping - while beautiful - means you need to have excellent filtration, don't overstock with fish..understocking is better. Adding a bunch of rock to your sump will provide a perfect home for additional biological filtration (don't use Bio-balls).

    Brisleworms eat detritus. Likely entered your tank in your rock. They are only an issue if you overfeed your tank, that will increase the population by a bunch. They won't harm your fish or corals. ..just don't TOUCH them. Those bristles hurt when they get stuck in your finger. They can be pink...
