Thanks for the reply, yes that would look ugly, but I already drilled a hole in the back of the unit, realigned the lights inside and they fit fine. The moonlights were moved to the front. Although the resale value has dropped it looks better and it should work for the short time.. thanks again...

IMHO, if you are still cycling and you only have live rock in the tank... take it out, scrub it off and put it back in there.. Once you get the power heads blowing that might slow down the algae growth, but I wouldn't put anything in there until the cycle is over.

Water changes are done every two weeks, 7.5 gallons of distilled water. I'm currently using Instant Ocean salt, which doesn't have any phosphate or nitrates. I also top off with distilled water.

I’d like to keep an anemone in there for my clarkii, but realistically probably some zoos, mushrooms, and maybe a bubble coral. I do have 2 small zoo frags in there now that are doing well, but I want them to thrive, not just survive.
