I would look into getting some bac to dose since I am pretty sure the RSR is a antibiotic . ZEObak,MB7,Stability or some Biodigest . To balance out some lost bac . It helps jump start the system too. UV will slow u down as it will kill bac some as well as the nasties . Carbon is still run but...

Just a guess . Prolly a flow issue in reference to clumping . What size pump and what kind of reactor r un using ? If the pellets are being consumed this is normal for them to get smaller .

I know of one bio pellet user that takes his reactor effluent return and directs it to the return side of the tank . He has been running vertex pellets since August . He is letting the mulm / bacteria plankton feed his corals. Anyone else tried this yet ? I just started the pellets this weekend...
