I may as well post my two cents worth since I'm leaving Tenecor after 12 years.
Aquariums (especially glass) are a commodity and will rarely, if ever, be sold successfully direct to the public by a manufacturer of any size. The current distribution chain is not parasitic, but has developed to...
I've got to chime in here, Andy. Our acrylic stands do not normally have filtration built in. Those are units made exclusively for our Aquamax III livestock display system. Any stands offered to the public are bare inside.

No problem, Jeff. Height is the leading factor in determining material thickness as it determines water pressure. Length and width have an impact as well, since they determine the panel sizes. Larger panels are more susceptible to bowing, and are usually done in a thicker guage.
On first pass...
Sorry Jeff, but the thicknesses you list are the standards for our Ultraquariums - 8 and 10 foot aquariums over 300 gallons. For standard tanks 300 gallons and less, the thicknesses are one grade less than you posted.
Mind you, these are simply the default specifications. They are the...

Adam,
I agree with your intent to help someone avoid buying a tank from an inexperienced supplier. I hear horror stories every week from people who don't know what they're buying and get taken for a ride. Poor companies and poor tanks are everywhere.
Just last week the owner of an NBA team...
Adam,
I'm not looking for a fight either. I don't have time to convince you and I can't imagine many pieces of evidence strong enough to overide the experience and ovservations of over 12 years.
I've heard many people claim that two-part adhesives are stonger than solvent bonds. However, our...
We are somewhat protective of our production methods because of all the disaster stories involving a man, a saw and a bottle of glue. Seems like everyone wants to make tanks these days. Wish I was as rich as they must think.
Solvents such as weldon 3 and others will create stonger bonds than...
I don't jump in very often. Seems you don't have to look very far these days for someone who'll argue with you about the color of your own eyes. The net gives them all a little credibility until they blow it.
