  1. Moving to Pacific Northwest

I was in Seattle more than 14 years ago. There are quite a few reefers in the NorthWest near Seattle. I am sure you can get in touch with them and they can let you in on the LFS situation there.
  2. Fish for the 60 cube

Several fish would do great in a 60 g tank: Royal Gramma Get 3 or 4. Have the LFS oreder 5 or so, put hem together in the same tank on arrival. Get the biggest and the smallest 2 or 3. They will forma harem fro you in your tank Madarin Dragonete, just too beautiful fish not to have. A pair...
  3. New clams

This is indeed an old thread. It is the initial thread where I discussed using FWD as treatment for PMD in clams.
  4. Osama's tank ... Pictures

I am about to start my 340 g reef tank also. The fish room is being built, the tank is inthere and leveled on a steel stand. Light and equibment are all in. I am cleaning up the tank right now (Old Planet Aquarium Starfire tank) with external overflow. I got rock sitting in the Corpus Christi...
  5. Osama's tank ... Pictures

    Very nice aquarium.
  6. New clams

I raised quite a few of my Rod's Onyx and aslo about 200 SnowOnyx cross. The largest are about 1 inch at this time. Pictures to be post later, hopefully tonight.
  7. Clown mismatch?

In captivity and in the rut, they do anything. Even Lion and Tiger interbred in captivity. Right now I have about 200+ fry from my Onyx A. percula (female) and Snowflake A. ocellarist (male). Will see how they turn out in the next few months Here is a video of the baby clowns...
  8. Advanced Aquarist is looking for your featured tank!

How about a 30 g cube set up for S. gigantea and A. percula. I have a Purple Gigantea and a pair of breeding Onyx A. percula. Other fish include a male Mandarin and a Marine Beta. I have 12 SPS, three clams, and Xenia in the tank. Everything is tank raised except the Gigantea, Marine Beta...
  9. discharge! (Podman's thread)

Thanks, The Giganea is in a 30 gal Oceanic. I think the outer dimension is 18X18V20. I have CPR hang on skimmer on it. This is where I put the heater, keep tank at 84 degree, and run the skimmer relatively wet. I try to clean the pump every 2 weeks or so. I can see the flow is getting...
  10. discharge! (Podman's thread)

If you really search and know your animal well, you can keep these beautiful anemones in small tanks. For Gigantea and Magnifica it is best to use at least a 24X24X24. In a pinch 18X18X18 would do OK. Smaller cube require precise aqua-scape and precise placement of the anemone. Here is...
  11. discharge! (Podman's thread)

This is a 30 g tank with a small Magnifica in it. As you can guess, or see, the anemone cannot get to any of the PH without having to craw down to the sand or go sailing. The tank is been lid by 150W DE MH. The anemone is just right under the light which give it plenty of light and...
  12. discharge! (Podman's thread)

Here is a FTS a few weeks ago of one of my tank. It house two H. malu and one S. gigantea and three S. tapetum and two E. quadricolor. The Equad are hiding in the back of the tank since it is a very bright tank lighted by 2X250 W DE MH. I have since remove the tile. All the anemones seem to...
  13. discharge! (Podman's thread)

Do you want a sand bed in it or not? With sand bed, you can keep a beautiful H. malu. Here is a picture of mine, a pair purple is the female and the green is the male, in a 34 g Finnex tank before the tank crack. Now I have the green, lost the purple in the tank crack, in a 65 g tank. It was...
  14. Elos Mini build thread (new photos page 14)

Great thread. I would love an update and full tank photo. Thanks for this great thread
  15. Suggestions for a new tankmate

Not one or two. Just one or you will get trouble. If not now then when they get older and more mature.
