Abit offtopic. What is the temp swing that is generally accepted for a sps tank? My temp swing from 80-84 :? is this too much? BTW...IMO..76 is way too cold :roll:

my old bubbles trap used to be sponge.basically you used a sponge & place it at the source that produce the bubbles, this will in turn diffuse the bubbles & probably u will get clear water :wink: . I wonder if others have a better plan. I am having no such problem with my AquaC EV180 currently...

Second that opinion Higher rated kelvin bulbs do not promote growth much, in my limited knowledge. Although moderate growth can be observe under a 10,000k bulb, but understood that blue bulb(radium/20,000k) does not improve the growth of sps. They do enhance the colouration though :roll: It...

Alternatively, you may wish to run a small amount of carbon for a short period of time. Maybe a cupful for 3days. It is known that this method is more effective than a few cupful for a few months.

I previously some how have the same problem. I had high calcium(700ppm) + normal dKH 8O . Although yours is high calcium & low dKH. :roll: I don't see any harm in trying the following way to reduce ypur calcium. I was told that calcium percipated in my tank water. Possible symtoms include...
