How would this be for a FO tank?
What about bottom dwelling sharks, such as Bamboo sharks? They have a very tough skin. Do you think this would affect them in any way?
getting ready to start my tank up. All I have left to do is my top later of live sand (1"). Is this enough to cycle my tank? Should I add damsels to help it along or is the sand enough? Do I feed it or just leave it alone? I am new to plenums/DSBs so be gentle :wink:
If you want to be a tad more stealth and hide the fans in your canopy, take a trip to Radio Shack and purchase a couple computer fans. Install one on each side, run the wires and whalla!
Well, building/setting up a plenum is no prob. I build cars in my part time, so this is like playing with legos. I built it last night. It stands 1.5" tall so i'm in for a deep bed, oh well. I figured out a way to hide it :)
Now for mechanical filtration I have a bunch of lifeguard filters...
