:( Can someone help me with controling Green Hair Algea. It started as a little clump and now has popped up all over the tank. is their a hermit or fish or something that will control this?
Thanks
The only luck that I had was looking real close at the rocks. Look for a pile of rock dust or new sand like debrie. They like to burrow into the live rock to make a home. I was never able to get mine to go into a trap. He would just laugh at me and swim around as i would wathch him. Once i found...
I have purchased three peppermint shrimp and cannot tell if they have done anything. All they do is hide. I also tried a racoon butterfly but he only made it a few days. Is ther any thing else?
Thanks
Do any of you use these floating magnets to clean your glass? Does one work better than the other? I have noticed a big price diffrence 14.99-69.00. Are they even worth the money?
Thanks
I hate to say it but I have had only good luck with my Bio wheels.( Eclipse 3 hoods). I have a 85 gal. with 130lbs of live rock and 4" live sand bed. Lots of Soft corals and 6-8 fish. Maybe a lot of the filtration is coming from the rock and the sand but i can still say I have never had a water...
I have had an outbreak of Anemonia (like Aiptasia). It all started on one rock and now it has spread all over the tank. I have a lot of Green star polyps, Leather corals and Musrooms rocks. I need to find some way of controling this without hurting my other SPS. I currently have 2 percula...
I have had some anemones in my soft coral tank and hated it. The anemones would roam around and knock things over or sting other soft corals. If i could have glued them in place it might have been ok. My other concern was, they don't survive long in tanks.
Thanks for the info. I agree with the critters being a waste of money but im just trying to cut down on the green alge that forms on the glass. Cleaning the inside of the glass sucks.
What is the temperature in your tank? I have been lucky and just raised my temp to control the ich. If i notice a problem i have just raised my tank to 80-84. this has worked for me and not haveing to use any chemicals.
