I am considering purchasing a lifereef single overflow. It says its average flow is 700 gph.
I am trying to figure what size return pump I might need.
I have a 55gal and plan on using either a 30 or 40gal sump.
Things I am not sure of are:
1. Is the flow rate of the lifereef...
I have a torch, geen button polyps, a colony of blue mushrooms, a colony of green mushrooms, and a nice rock full of white polyps?? I think is what the LFS called them. Thats it.
I figured it had to be normal somehow because its live and kickin today but it really wierded me out. Ther have been no changes in the tank at all lately. Maybe I never noticed it before, it did happen after the lights were out.

I have had a pair of cleaner shrimp for a few months now. For the first week or two they were a bit shy, but now forget it. If I put my hand in the tank to do any kind of maintenance they are all over me. Sometimes I have to chase them away in order to be able to finish what it is I am doing...
It's not all that far from the garden. If traffic is moving half way decent I would just jump in a cab, it won't cost but a few dollars from there. If traffic is crawling then Bingo's directions sound good.

Liquid nitrogen is very dangerous.
Nevermind that if you touch it you could do unbelivable damage to yourself, but any type of accidental rupture or spillage of the liquid nitrogen tank would quickly displace all of the oxygen in the room.
