Reviews on rodi systems are lacking in positives. Any preferred systems out there? And any comment on the Aquaticlife Buddie? Tank is 36g reef. I do see that universal cartridges will not work, but I like the portability.

Thanks for the replies. The salinity meter sounds like a good option, and yes a hydrometer for back up. I appreciate the responses, things and products have changed quite a bit. Hobby has always been pricey but that's part of it. (y)

That's an excellent reply Sponge and I totally agree....I like around 80 degrees, but I don't fall apart if it gets warmer. But, as you said, you have to choose species that can tolerate the temps you keep. I mentioned in my post that all my snails were gone...well, those were carribean...
