Ive come to figure as much about the sand in the past month. I didn't see any real critters in it, and I came to assume that what you said was just the case. I guess I'm sort-of screwed. I do not know any other hobbyists in the new york city area, and I do not really want to add pet store sand...
I did buy from that fish place... I drove out there from NYC (its around 2 hours...) It's.. ok. I admit I am new to the hobby, but it seems rather bare compared to what everyone has. No hitchhikers, the peices were not very easy to work with, but maybe it's just me.
