Only certain types of coral can actually survive with an octopus and this specific tank is going to be sub tropical (low 60’s). In my current octo tank I’ve had success with softies, some zoas, mushrooms, gorgonians and strangely enough some anemones.

I bought an arrow crab when my bristleworm population exploded. He definitely does a really good job. He comes with all the annoying crab traits though, stealing food from corals, walking all over corals, I’m sure your shrimp already do that. I’ve even read that some people have had them eat...
