Can I put a sea hare in a tank with a blue spot puffer? I currently have the hare in a different tank which he thoroughly cleaned for me. I wanted to put him in my other tank with the puffer to clean it up before taking it back to the pet store, but don't know if the puffer will attack it...
I am pretty sure it is a medusa worm. It was about 2" in my tank but when I was trying to get it into the cup it got cut in half so in the pic its about an inch.
I have tank bred/tank raised Hippocampus Erectus seahorses for sale. These are seahorses I raised myself. Several males and females available. All are eating frozen PE Mysis. $70 each or $130 for 2. Mutual pick up location on Long Island to be arranged. PM me With questions.
I woke up this morning to find that my starfish, which I have had for around 2 years, with one of it's arms cut in half. The only thing in my tank that could have possibly done it was my peppermint shrimp or my emerald crab. The only other inhabitants are seahorses and I know they didn't do it...
I had a banded serpent starfish take a ride home with me in a rock that I purchased. I know that they can grow to be 8+ inches, averaging around 12". Is a 65 gallon tank too small to keep it in?
This is what I have read also, but I cant find one case of it actually being a problem. The only problems I have read are about it stinging other corals, so I dont know why they can't go into a seahorse tank if there isn't any evidence to support this.
Will a flowerpot coral sting seahorses or do they primarily sting other corals? I am reading conflicting information. Any advise or personal experiences appreciated.
Can pineapple sponges get that big? It's about 1/2" by 3/4". I also don't see any holes on it anywhere. It doesn't look porous like a sponge. I wish I knew what it was.
What is the round thing peeking out from behind the rock? Some sort of sponge maybe? It doesn't move, has been getting bigger and the when I poke at it it feels like the outside is squishy but the inside is harder. It looks like it has extensions or hairs that come off of it. Any clue?
Thanks for all the info. I am not sure if mine are southern or northern. Some hitched right away, but the majority did not. I have lost most of the brood. I have two remaining. They are doing quite well. Eating the bbs like mad! I hope they make it.
