  2. You have got to see this

That's hilarious. It's one of those things every LFS owner wishes they could do but I didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to try it. I found a thread on a TB forum about it. Funniest post...
  3. Tonga Thread on RC

I agree. Somebody should wake up.

  5. High DOA Fish

You seem to have a hard time understanding that it's the consumers who ultimately decide what people in the industry do. I rarely stocked cb banggais, just special ordered them for a few people. Most wouldn't even think about buying them for $30 since the other LFS's were selling wc's for $8.99.
  6. High DOA Fish

Early on I had high DOA's with Banggai's but no problems once I found a better supplier. I don't think I ever had a cb one come in doa. Although I had a hard time selling cb's since everyone else was selling wc's for $10. So no thoughts on trying the shredded plastic thing? Here's a pic of what...
  7. High DOA Fish

Another thread got me thinking about the types of fish I had the highest DOA's on. For me it was small wrasses like fairy wrasses, sand sifting gobies, anthias. These DOA's were usually perfectly healthy looking dead fish. It dawned on me that these are all fish that tend to try and jump there...
  8. Question for DR Imports

You say that like it's a bad thing. I think you really need a vacation.
  9. Question for DR Imports

Maybe because your answer doesn't jive with what retailers are seeing. Zero to 1% losses in the brief time you have the fish doesn't mean anything. No one has accused hawaiian fish of being cyanide caught. Instead of listening to what problems retailers are telling you about how some of the fish...
  10. Clarion angels again...

I just saw that Austin Aquafarms just got some in yesterday. Pretty fish, not $2800 pretty IMO but nice.
  11. Question for DR Imports

Well I know that around a year or so ago I was having some problems with Hawaiian Yellow tangs for a period of time. Same deal as swsaltwater is talking about. They came in looking good and ate well but continued to get skinnier. This was on multiple orders from multiple suppliers. It could have...
  12. Question for DR Imports

Put them on your website and then let the folks on seahorse.org know. Been tough finding nice macros lately.
  13. Question for DR Imports

Why 2 days? (Just a question not a criticism) swsaltwater - red gracilaria works pretty good, much better food than caulerpa. Gives them something nutritious to munch on in between feedings and won't foul the water. A 20 gallon, lr rubble on the bottom, couple of rigid airlines bubbling and a...
  14. Hawaiian Legislation

It would seem that alot of hobbyist's don't want to change anyone's mind. http://www.dfwmas.org/NewsLetter/dfwmas ... 008_01.pdf
  15. Sea Shepards blasts aquarium trade

The LFS can't demand such things. Higher quality means higher price. And if the LFS has a competitor(s) open up down the street selling crappy fish cheap then a whole bunch of hobbyists will go running to the cheap shop to get in on the really good deals. So then what does the good shop...
