i poured some eggs right into the second part of my backpak. A few days later at night I held a flashlight to the tank glass and had a bunch of sea monkeys swiming towads the light.

I disagree with your disgree of my disagree....
my dsb ranges from 1" (due to pumps blowing it out) up to 6", its a 20 tall so space is not an issue(but itis a small tank). There is definately a denitration zone as it has been up for 8 months and I can see the distinction of bacteria colors...

I did a 20% water change and may do another. Polyps are opening up but major damage has been done. None of the torchs arms are visible but I'm hoping something will come back. All the shrooms jumped off their rock but they are opening up a bit where they are. I definately had some...
HELP.. Now spreading to my mushrooms and polyps, the first head to be infected seems almost through the infection but alot of skeleton is showing I dont knwo if it'll make it

Woke up this morn to find two heads of my torch coral had been slimed with some translucent suff over the head. I need to go and will run some tests when I get back but wondering if anyone has seem this before?

its a good idea but not really necessary, it only requires a handful of sand to seed a tank. Its a good idea to keep a tank mixed with everyones sand but you'll only need a few punds total.
