IME Basically you get what you pay for (cept outrageous LFS prices) Harbor Aquatics has GREAT LR and Premium Aquatics has CHEAP LR. I use a mixture from the two places. Have also seen culf view and It looks good. hth

I have a 40g breeder setup as a quarintine tank. It has PVC pipe and some elbows of various sizes, a heater, a powerhead, a Prizm (extra from old tank), a thermometer, and eggcrate on top. The reason mine is so big is because thats what I had in the basement and I have a few big fish(angels)...

My red star lost an arm in a tank move about a year ago. It now is about 5"(still 2" short). They do grow but fairly slowly. HTH

2 little fishies Vario Doser. ~$200 if I remember correctly. I use it to keep tank topped off. It is set to go on for a few hrs a night with a timer. I've used mine about 4 years and the inner tubing has become shaped so that it doesn't work anymore. I'm trying to contact 2LF as you read...

Goatfish are cool. But i don't know if they'll keep the bed clean everywhere. Worth a try though. Good luck

I've thought of that but Painting isn't to much of a hardship (I say that now only having painted a 70g). It is fairly cheap too. I do, however, use acrylic on the bottom to keep rocks and sand from scratching through the paint.

I mount mine upsidedown in the stands W/ driploops. I have snails in my remora and prizm quite frequently. They never get stuck though. guess its a design flaw in the bakpaks. :wink:

I have a similar situation approaching me. I'm building a 300g FOWLR and I will have angels, tangs, butterflys,a hamlet, squirrelfish, hogfish, harliquin tusk, and a minatia grouper. the only things that I thought of that won't get munched are Urchins, Large crustaceans (crabs and lobsters)...

I was under the impression that with just drilling a hole in the back and putting a bulkhead and strainer would be loud. I was going to install dursos in the overflows. How much did your glass cost and where did you get it. TIA jeff

a buddie of mine has a sumpless 75g. He runs 2 remoras on it, 2'' sandbed, 120lbs LR, and 4 MJ 1200s. There is a lot in the tank but it is very succesful. I just ordered a 75g w/ overflow. At this point i'm just gonna keep the water below the overflow and run a remora and a Prism on it...
