It has been closed for three days now. Four days ago it seemed to be fine. In addition to the spots you can see what looks like a fungus or something at a lot of the joints.
This coral was bent right over yesterday. It is standing up today, but I've noticed black spots on it. Any thoughts on what this is and how to remedy it?
The water parameters seem to be fine. I have checked for phosphates and they are not detectable.

The carbon that I use is from a company called Aquarium Pharmaceuticals. The product is called "Research Grade, Super Activated Carbon". It claims to contain no phosphates.
Does carbon remove useable food rom the water?
