Do flatworms just appear out of the blue - over time. this coral exhibited the same behavior in the past, but recovered. My other SPS corals are growing better than ever and look fantastic. Close proximity too.

Len- Do we know what causes RTN in certain corals? Water quality, sudden parameter change, etc? I guess I'll frag it, move the parent colony, and hope for the best. Thanks for getting back to me.

I'm seeing the same thing in my tank. Can a temperature increase cause the diatoms? Unfortunately, its been hot (ehh warm, but hot and humid for here) in santa barbara lately and my tank has been in the low 80s every day - no chiller. I typically keep it at 78.

Yes it would make a difference because you are now adding 250W of energy into the tank. The reality would be 1 500w heater vs 1 750w heater. The tank would heat up faster.
