i agree, if its electronic, it should be fine. I have a ballast made to drive 2 - 55wpc, and i used it to light my fuge , with 2- 27w quads and its been fine so far for 3 months. Dont try it with a magnetic ballast though.

Can anybody tell me the purpose of having the soilonoid with your CO2 guage for a calcium reactor, and is it necessary? I am getting ready to buy a calcium reactor and I was wondering if I could get by with just buying a cheap guage set, without that expensive solonoid. Thanks, speedy
