The pipe will fit inside the bulk head of what ever size you get. Example I chose 1" threaded inside bulk head (forgot the name but are the good heavy walled ones) so then I glued a MPT to slip PVC fitting to the bottom of my 1" PVC Durso pipe. So that way if I ever need to change or do...

I ran one of them for years they work great for low$$ and free stuff better then nothing. I found that I had to use the red sea replacment air block. I would soak the new one in water overnite set the air pump so the bubles were right at the bottom of the cup also it takes them forever to break...

I am new to large powered skimmers and have a few Q's. I just moved so I decided to set up a new tank with a sump and skimmer. The last tank I had setup for about 5 years most of them with out a skimmer. just a deep plenem type sand bed, very regular water changes and alot of carbon filtering...
