  1. Best paint for painting the back glass?

I used a product called Oceanvisions ( www.thatpetplace.com has it) on my tanks. It is similar to the window tinting film except it is a solid color. It comes in black, green, blue, and mirror I think. It worked great and looks exactly like the tank back is just black acrylic. Tina

  3. hermit crabs, good or bad?

I have around 12 hermits in my tank. They are very small, but do have blue legs. They all came with the same type of distinct shell. Recently I have seen 3 of them tooling around in coralline covered shells that used to belong to my snails. So, I would definately second that they will kill...
  4. Have you had a wrasse or firefish jump?

I have egg crate over my tank and have not had any problems with my firefish leaping out. Come to think of it, I have never seen him try to jump except when they guy caught him at the LFS. Good luck, my firefish is my favorite. :D Tina
  5. porites/x-mas tree worms

What I did was move the live rock on either side out a little more and moved it down in the tank about 6 inches. Probably not a lot of difference, but maybe that will help. It looks no worse, no better today. Thanks for all the advice! Tina
  6. porites/x-mas tree worms

2 days ago I purchased this rock with x-mas tree worms and porites on it. I am concerned because there is an area that looks like it is bleaching and other portions look greyish. Can anyone tell me if it looks OK? You can see its placement in the tank. I put it there because I read it liked...
  7. ID help, white things on glass

I scraped these guys a few times and they kept coming back in force within a couple of hours. Finally, I left them alone and they went away on their own. I thought for a while I would never get rid of them! Tina
  8. WEAR GLOVES!

Interesting. I had actually considered the "cow gloves", but I didn't know of a source for them online. sfsuphysics: can you pm me with the retailer that carries these? Thanks, Tina
  9. ID snail looking thing

Yes, it looks exactly like that! Now that we know its name, is it safe to go back into the tank? I don't want to leave him in the cup of saltwater on my kichen table too long if he is innocent. Thanks, Tina
  10. ID snail looking thing

This is about the best I can do with my camera. The focus for supermacro is difficult to use. and Is that any better? You can kind of see it is segmented and if you take it out of water it curls up. Thanks again, Tina
  11. ID snail looking thing

I found this guy just below the surface of my sand stuck on the glass. I was doing some rearranging of my live rock, so I removed him. He is in a little cup of tank water until I get an answer on what he is and if he is good or bad. He has a hard shell on top and is soft and snail like on the...
  12. WEAR GLOVES!

What kind of gloves do you all use? I have the aqua gloves (you know, the orange and blue ones). They are great as I don't contaminate my tank and my arms stay dry, but the glove itself is so bluky, I don't have the dexterity required to do certain things (like move small objects, scrape...
  13. B-Ionic

Nor does mine, or I would get it there and save the shipping. Tina
  14. B-Ionic

Where do you all buy B-Ionic? Is there one online retailer that is more reasonable on cost than another? I looked at e-bay, but shipping is expensive. If I am going to pay for shipping, I would prefer to buy from a retailer where I can place an order for a bunch of items at once. Thanks, Tina
  15. New saltwater/reef store openening soon New Jersey

Did anyone make it to the grand opening? I was thinking of making a trip there on Saturday. Tina
