No Monkeyboy, most Tangs don't shoal. Having dived for 12 years around the World, I have generally only observed Powder Blue's and Brown's shoaling. The larger Tangs tend to swim either solitary or in small groups.

I wouldn't recommend a Powder Blue, they like open spaces and when I've been diving I've seen them shoal in their hundreds. They are prone to disease and very hard to keep alive let alone healthy.

In the wild Sohal's grow very large and like the surge around wrecks and reefs. I would say that the 120 is too small, mine was in a 300g and was more agressive than any trigger I've had.

I agree with your comment about swimming room but a Yellow Tang would be fine in such a tank as they don't get too big and tend to graze on algae most of the time. Avoid your Sohal's, Lipstick and Regal Tangs which grow large and enjoy long tanks.

The tank itself was set up last February when the 300g exploded. The live rock and corals etc were a few years old.

You may have seen my posts in the past but I keep a pure invert tank as well as my fish tanks. The corals grow amazingly as do pods and other critters etc. If you want specifics contact me on my email direct. Best thing I ever did.

Not sure specifically but my bubble split on the skeleton, at which point I separated the skeleton and the frag'd piece is growing slowly but surely. Lovely colour by the way, is that the lighting?
