Keeping with our aim to be a complete resource for our customers, Affordable Aquatic Supplies has become a dealer for the full line of Generac Generators and power inverters.

We will be stocking the Generac iX line of inverter (suitcase) generators, and the GP line of portables in popular sizes. iX generators are the perfect insurance plan for your aquarium, fridge, computer and other small appliances; they are about the size of a cooler, gently sip gas and are super quiet.

If Hurricane Sandy left you in the dark and wreaked havoc on your reef, this might be a good time to think about the next storm. Generac, like most manufacturers is currently out of stock on nearly all their products, and estimate that will be able to begin filling new orders in 4-6 weeks.

We have a number of generators on order with the factory. From now until December 21 we will be offering all Generac generators at a discounted prices. Orders will be filled on a first-come basis, and of course all orders earn rewards points.

Generac is a great Generator. I have a 20kw unit on my house called a guardian and I love it. It is hooked in to my panel and runs off of natural gas. I highly recomend it.

Lots of unknowns there. Type of battery, capacity etc? Assuming you are using a marine deep cycle battery you should get 3-4 hours of use. Typically you would not run high-wattage devices off the battery, but running a few powerheads would last considerably longer. Days perhaps.
