Return Policy/ refund on Anemone

I bought 3 pieces of coral and a Anemone, Saturday. Everything is fine until last night I found my Anemone dead I called Max Reef they say I could come to take another. Great just drove all the way to Yonkers to be told sorry can't refund or exchange for any thing else, f**** pissed, wasted my gas and time after leaving work for this response. Getting frustrated. Tested water everything is perfectly fine as feel as all other corals.

I'm sorry but it seems very fair if they will give you a replacement anemone. Most lfs wouldn't even do that for you.

Hm, perhaps there is more to the story, etc.

But I must say that based on what you've said in the first post:

" called Max Reef they say I could come to take another"

That reads to me as they agreed to refund the specific animal you bought.

So, when you took your time/gas/funds to go back, that you would be getting a replacement anemone.

That makes total sense to me.

I actually feel bad that now Max reefs has this kind of thread in their forum now (and i've never even shopped there/don't know them)
I know that some people probably dont even read the commentary to see if the situation was just/unjust in the end.
But based on what you've said so far, your side of the story...I do not think Max reef did anything wrong. They were willing to make it right by replacing the animal that died.
