Found my new lfs

So today I decided to take a ride to see what all the fuss was about and I'm glad I did! This place is amazing! I was like a kid in a candy store. The healthy fish and corals that they had not to mention the prices! I visited just about all lfs in the tri state area and none can touch max reefs! Did I mention the prices? I thought I was at one of my old wholesale fish spots and couldn't believe it was a retail store. The staff was great and knowledgable as well and I can't wait to go back! Thanks for the beautiful and healthy carpet anemone which I practically stole for the price I paid lol, you guys rock!

It's a very nice place. The owner (Rafy) is a nice guy also. He orders stuff for me over the phone without deposits. The only negative for me is the car ride and tolls. I live in Queens.

I always wanted to get there but Google tells me its an hour and a half away with many tolls in between. Sorta takes the "L" out of LFS.

It wasn't to bad from Si , straight down the turnpike to the gw. The ride took about an hour and even with gas and tolls the nem still was a great deal. $65 btw

+1, a trip there it's a bit of a pain in the behind, but definitely worth it.

May not be ideal location, but worth the trip especially if you leave with some goodies to make it worthwhile. Also a DD a stone throw away.... That makes everything better!

I was there on Saturday they have mixed ZOA rocks for $55 I saw one that had some Darth maul looking ones, lunar eclipse type. Not exactly the name written on it but ZOA rock. But that's how you find hidden gems.

lenny glad to see you made the trip, that carpet glows in the dark.
koolaide they only carry a small amount of frags, but the colony prices are basically what people sell frags for. there is pink hippo's, eclipse morph and other's and the occasional hidden gems

When buying any type of coral from Max Reef. It's doesn't paid to even look at frags. It's almost same price and about 6X size. You can frag them into frags and even trade them. Small colony's is what you get at a frags prices.

Hey Rob i thought u was NOT allowed to go to any LFS !!! U should have told me i was there Sunday i got a gorgeous Blonde Naso for an awesome price Great store I went to buy rod's food and end up spending $150 worth. Definitely the best store around.
