Yes, they are larger. They are just a little longer, but much fatter. Maybe twice as fat. One nice thing about the jumbo mysis is that it doesnt fall apart like other mysis does, and even my smallest dwarf angels readily ate it. Jumbo Mysis is the main frozen food that I feed my fish.

They are both very good products, and I have used both for years. In my personal tank, I found it best to use the Hikari Jumbo mysis because I keep 2" clowns and 12" tangs. It is something everyone can eat. If I were keeping a tank with smaller livestock, I would consider using more of the PE.

Considering the size of my fish, the large ones got the whole shrimp and the small fish got broken pieces. I think I have less waste that way. It came down to efficiency for me, I think there is less pollution in my particular situation because all the fish got pieces the size they need.

I dont think one is necessarily a superior product, but the large size is beneficial.
