Did anyone buy a camera this season?

Just curious what brand and model everyone picked up. I myself bought my wife a nikon point and shoot. I had to keep it in the family. It's the coolpix s7c.

bought the panasonic dx7 lumix for my dad. 6mp, 12x leica lens, image stablization. $279. big screen, big buttons, easy to use.

I bought myself the lens hood for my 100mm macro lens.

haha....usually you bought it for the fact that YOU like it and could use it sometimes....i bought my girl a nikon coolpix L4(i think)...its fine for point and shoot...but its shutter speed is really slow...i used it more than she did ...then this week i bought myself a canon powershot sd600 elph...
i think its a great camera for point and shoot and some more playful macro shots.......cost me just a bit over 200$
