Okay, here's the deal--this contest is all about your artistic eye. We've done some contests asking for your favorite fish, your coolest coral. Well here's where all you nutcases like me that love abstract art can flex your artistic muscles. Let's see your coolest ABSTRACT reef shots!!
This assignment ends on 12:00 AM EST Monday (sunday/monday midnight), July 13, 2003.

Please refer to the Contest Rules for more information about how to enter. Each member may submit up to TWO (2) entries per contest.

As stated in our contest rules, the winning submission will be proudly displayed on our homepage for two weeks.
Winners for this assignment will receive a 15% discount on your next order over $100, courtesy of Reefs.org's sponsor, Marine Depot.



On top of that, the winner will also be able to choose an item up to $20 in value from Reefs.org's wonderful line of logo'ed clothing (shipping is free).

Great first couple of shots. I woke up in the middle of the night last night wondering how much confusion I'd cause with this contest, and thanks to NKT for offering up a sample. Here's one of mine. Remember I'm not elligible for the contest either. Basically, the abstract category can take in just about anything!!!!

Subject: Spiral growth on the inside of my cycling glass tank. I think it's snail eggs. The whole spiral is about .5 cm.
Camera: G3 in Macro mode with manual focus.
Locatioin: Whitecourt, Alberta.
