What better way to share our reefkeeping passion with the marine aquarist community then with photographs? Now you have a home in Reefs.org's Photo Gallery Forum to do exactly that. Come share and discuss photographs with your fellow aquarists.

Pick up your cameras and start shooting! We're all looking foward to what you have to share.

Discussions about photography techniques and equipment can be posted to The Photo Technique and Equipment Forum.

Pardon the obligatory mumbo jumbo, but please read and understand the following Terms of Service before posting any images. Much appreciated!

Terms of service for the Photo Gallery Forum:

1. Only reef-related images are permitted in the Photo Gallery forum. Reefs.org reserves the right to remove all images deemed unrelated, offensive, or for any other reason
2. Enforced file attachment limitation is 256kb. Images displayed in this forum via outside links are permitted and do not have any specified file size restrictions. However, please attempt to keep all image sizes (whether attached or linked elsewhere) below 256kb with a maximum dimension of 640x480 pixels out of respect for all users who browse Reefs.org's forums. Reefs.org may request file size reductions that are deemed too large.
3. Reefs.org does not condone assuming other people's copyrighted material as your own. If you are not the copyright holder of a photo, it is strongly suggested you refrain from posting such images. Never post copyrighted material without proper accreditation.
4. You agree to indemnify and hold Reefs.org and its staff harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys' fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your contributions. You are solely responsible for your actions when using Reefs.org.
5. This Terms of Service is a supplement to Reefs.org's User Agreement. Reefs.org's User Agreement is fully applicable to The Photo Gallery Forum.
6. Violation or breach of the letter or spirit of these Terms of Service are subject to administrative action, including but not limited to editting posts, membership suspension or termination.
7. You must treat other users with civility and respect, even if you do not receive civility and respect in return. You must follow instructions from us regarding appropriate behavior and etiquette. You should report breaches of civility and respect to the Reefs.org administrator.

Ok, I've decided to move the Useful Tips thread here to save space up top.

This is a "living" document, so check back every now and then for updates.

1) Attached files can only be viewed if you are logged in to reefs.org. If you aren't a member yet .... well .... you should be

2) Pictures submitted to the forum may be resubmitted to future contests. So don't be shy about posting photos now.

3) You can post links to your personal galleries in this forum as well. It doesn't have to be restricted to imbedded pictures.

4) Try to limit yourself to one image per post. The reason being is if 20 people post 5 images per post in a thread, that thread will take forever to load 100 images per page as opposed to 20.

5) This is not just a photography "show off" forum. You can post images in here to ask for advice and opinions, or simply just to share your little piece of the reef with our community.
