fish:
They get to only about 3" long and are pretty timid. They'll eat ANYTHING you feed it, and I've caught my old one munching on bristleworms and small crustaceans.
chip:
They get these guys in frequently, so the guy said. If you want one for sure, I'll let you know the next time Marine Aquatics gets some in .... or you can call them to reserve one yourself. Yeah, I'd have preferred a larger one to avoid it being eaten, but it turns out this tiny guy doesn't get harassed by anything in my tank. It's weird. I would've thought my hogfish would've eaten it by now, but it just ignores it now (was worried in the beginner since it chased it a bit). It ate some C.johnsoni wrasses!
Checked this morning, and my little bugga is still in there. Very curious little guy. It looks like a tiny swimming speck in my tank!
Killer pics; those are some seriously small mystery wrasses! What happened to the one pictures on reefscapes?
My P. oscellatus doesn't have the vertical bars anymore, nor does the one on your site. I suppose this is just something that happens with age? In Kutier's wrasse book he pictures an adult with really nice bars, so I suppose the verdict is still undecided...
Yeah, my old one lost the bars too. I think it has to do with maturity .... that or captivity. Last one was with me 5+ years, then jumped one day and someone got through the back of the canopy I think my clown probably freaked it out.
Sweet fish! That's on my short list- but having just got a Pseudochromis elongata from Marine Center today, I think my $$$ fish quota is used up for a while....
