Just got back last night from speding 5 days in Myrtle Beach. Went to Ripley's Aquarium on Broadway at the Beach, and it was amazing. This blows the Boston Aquarium out of the water (no pun intended). The shark tank had a corridor where you could walk *through* it, and it was amazing...sharks swimming overhead and all that. The main tank had well over 1,000 fish in it...and the first thing you saw when entering was a HUGE cylinder tank with that 2-foot long puffer in it. Freshwater things, as well, with HUGE pyrhanas, arrowanas, rays, etc. A big anthias tank, a big reef tank, sea dragons, etc, etc. I loved every minute of it. My father would comment "Gee, it's like having our own personal tour guide!"
Here are a few of the photos I took...most came out crappy, but I got about 25 good shots.
Peace,
Chip
