this is really a sad sorry if you read about it how thw twon was burnt down by fire do to coal burning under the town. it is a werid place to see drive way going to no whare step of houses but no house
you walking aroung this small town and the ground is smoking next to you due to the coal still burning .

got to hurry the us goverment is take the homes from the 5 people that still live there if you are going to go i would now.
the us goverment is giving them 40,000 dollars and ordering them to get out of there homes. one guy i talked to has lived there his whole live he is now 76 years old he told me they will have to shoot him to make him leave it truly is a sad story

I saw pictures with whole blocks of homes nailed with plywoods. Are they still there?

ya it so werid being there you satnd up on i hill that the ground is hot to the touch and over looking the grid of the town looking at driveways that go to no where it is so werid

It is a sad story indeed. I've grown up in the coal mines area so I know what damage can mines do. I remember cracked roads which they repaired all the time. They are all long gone, all the tunnels were filled with concrete, but the damage can be still seen today

the old man i met there open the centerys up every day and still puts up the flag at the fire house every day.this was his town it the only thing he knows. man you talk to a guy like that and it really makes you think about things for sure

Agree. Coal is one of the easiest natural resources to get. Man, now I have to go there someday (your fault) and do a photostory. I am a HUGE fan of Silent Hill and I know that this town was a big inspiration to the autjors
