Totally false, you must be thinking of the cantilena goby.

The Blue Dot Jawfish, also known as the Bluespotted Jawfish, was first discovered in the Tropical Eastern Pacific in 1991 by Allen and Robertson. Its head and body are orange with irregular-shaped blue spots. There from Mexico

They come from cooler waters in the Gulf of Cortez and do best at 68-76 with a deep sand bed. So they will acclimate to 'our' reef tanks but certainly prefer it on the cooler side with a finer substrate to borrow and feel at home.

Yes but temps in the low 60s they'd freeze to death or be in suspended animation lol
