If u use this product make sure u shut off skimmer and if u use carbon take it out, And have To try and fig. whats causing the red slim. Cuz it will come back after a while. And u just dont want to keep using it.

The main cause is excess nutrients in the system. Flow, lighting, etc. are just contributing factors that help create an ideal environment for the slime to grow.

You can use the red slime remover but be aware that it is an antibiotic so you might need to use a second dose in order to eliminate the slime or you might end up with a resistant strain. Follow the directions on the box exactly and keep an eye on the tank.

Before you do any of that you need to figure out what the actual cause is first and fix it, then clean up as much as you can before dosing.

i like aquavision aquatics cyno solution better. personally i do the bag trick and it always works wonders for me... but if i did use a product... i like AVA cyno solution.


also, first dose, make SURE you only use half a dose...

It's just erythromycin. Most treatments really aren't even necessary once you figure out what's actually causing it. A little extra cleaning and tuning your equipment and PROPER REGULAR MAINTENANCE will get rid of all but the worst cases.
