Test kits for starting out

Hi all,just starting out,what test kits am I going to need.What company makes the most reliable kits,glad to be here.

Salifert or Elos.

To keep track of the cycle in your new tank you will need test kits for:
Ammonia
Nitrate
Nitrite
pH
API kits are fine for these tests and will cost you less

As you move forward you will need the following kits:
Alkalinity
Calcium
Magnesium
Most reefers prefer Salifert or Elos or LaMotte kits for these parameters
