Here's a short video of my new Biocube 29 HQI cycling. I haven't figured out the aquascaping of the LR as yet. I just placed it in the tank and will address it later. I have some new toys to learn about and configure as well. The only mod currently in place is that I swapped the stock bulb for the Phoenix 14k bulb.

The other new toys I need to setup are:
  • Reefkeeper Lite Basic Plus pack with ATO float switch kit
  • Vortech MP10
  • R2 Moonlight LEDs
  • Refugium Lighting
  • SpectraPure RO/DI filter
  • Few misc odds and ends

Thanks!

So I installed the MP10 today and the Reefkeeper. I only have the temp proble running right now. I ran the light for about 5 hours today and the tank temp sits at 85F. Ok, so that's too warm. I guess I'll be working on cooling off the tank this week and keeping them temp stable.
I've heard that a cheap solution that works is a fan mounted under the filtration cover of chamber 3. Any other ideas or is that my best option? I really don't wish to buy a chiller. ;)

Woohoo! Whipped up my first batch of RO/DI water with my SpectraPure filters.

Interesting that my NYC tap water measures 38ppm, Poland Spring measures 30ppm and ofcourse RO/DI measures 0ppm.
