Eel and shrimp?

I suspect I know the answer but is adding an eel a bad idea in most reef situations?

Anyone been able to keep an eel with cleaner shrimp, coral banded, lobsters etc?

Zebra moray eels are generally ok with shrimp in tanks from my experience. In fact, my blood shrimp would hang out with my zebra moray, I think for protection and food.

In nature there are always shrinp hanging around eels bc the eels need cleaning and they leave food scraps around.

It depends on the Eel, some Eels eat fish while others eat Inverts. My Zebra Eel would eat any large Hermit crab that I placed in the tank.

I had a purple reef lobster in with my snowflake moray eel and all I can say was that my eel had a great lobster dinner that night

I have a golden dwarf moray with cleaner shrimp blood shrimp with no problems...
