What do you think about bristle worms??

Are they bad or not that bad to have if they are in your tank already?

i think its personal choice: they do a good job with detrius, i personally hate them and wish i didnt spot a fatty in my tank. They are safe for your display tank, some can get quite large-i dont know if that changes the safety aspect though

Larger ones just have more bristles to stick you with ..and it also means they are getting a fairly good food supply.

They aren't bad to have in your tank IF you don't have too many. If you have a lot it means you are likely overfeeding. Their population will grow based upon the availability of the food volume. If you want less, then be sure to feed only what your fish will consume in a couple of minutes. Small meals multiple times per day are easier for your fish and clean up crew to deal with.
If there is food blowing all over your tank, you will have a lot more worms

Do be careful when picking up rocks as they tend to be under/within rocks as you really don't want to get stuck with the bristles - they hurt - and are a pita to remove.

Haha yea I know not to touch them but I could never get a definite answer if they were harmful to a reef or if they were ok to have and let clean the sand

YEP, for some reason i remember seeing a thread (not sure here or not) of a huge bristel worm that was in a guys tank, this thing was so big i would have pissed myself! im sure someone here will know exactly what im talking about
