Coral bleaching after stung by digitata

My green tip staghorn coral frag is bleaching after one of the CUC members knocked over my german blue digitata frag onto one of the staghorn branch. The bleaching started on that branch and has started to spread.

Should I break off the bleached branches or just let it be and it will recover over time?

It all depends if there is somewhat of tissue left.
