Best glass cleaning snail

Hi mr,
lol,I'm fed up cleaning green film algae off the glass,what snail takes care of this best?. Tank is running about 3 months,have some other cuc,nassarius for sand and some hermits,thanks.

if your tank as been running for 3 months it still probably not done cycling fulling. that's why you keep on getting green algea on the glass are you using tap water or rodi water?

I've got margarita, turban, turbo, cererith and those little snails with the half shells which I cant remember the name to, micro limpets, micro starfish and a blue tuxedo urchin. Nothing cleans glass to a clear finish better then the plastic scrapper. At most they clear tracks across the glass, and will prevent the algae from becoming opaque.

definitely cycled,all zeros,ro/di water.Can anyone recommend a snail that will HELP clean the glass:biggrin:

Mexican Turbo Snail

While turbo and trochus snails may be most efficient, I have found that the cheap, common Astrea's are the best snails in the long run. I haven't gotten Trocus to survive for any length of time. Turbo's rarely live more than a year (for me), and can be bulldozers. Astrea's live for many years, so their hardiness alone puts them at the top of the list.

The orange cats eyes snails recently on sale at MA have been destroying my algae problem. I don't know if they still have them but I highly recommend them.
