Which silicone is reefsafe from hd

Well ill be heading to homedepot today wanted to know what black silicone is safe to use on a reef tank.ill be useing it to put in my over flow box...thanx hope u guys can help me

home depot does not have any silicone that is usable ... do not use any other than aquarium use ! they have mold and algicyde chemicals blended so they are construction grade

make sure you dont get the type II silicone it contains mildew resistant chemicals= no good for our tanks

OP was asking about black silicone though. Silicone Sealant 3 oz. Black

100% silicone is safe as long as its a 100% your good

there is no such thing as 100% silicone they most have a solvent base and have to cure(dry).. the aquarium manufacurer spec is not the same as construction grade each cure differently and have their own additives... believe it or not food grade silicone is the purest its in your mustard and many other products which has no vehicle solvent.....
