Has anyone ever owned one of these beautys
Are they hardy

They are very hardy once you get them past acclimation and eating well. Until that point I'd term them moderately difficult.

I currently have one, doing very well. It was very shy at first, it ate like a pig but would stay in a corner of the tank just hanging out, after about 2 weeks it finally came out. One of my favorite fish for sure.

What r u feeding it? Does it stay out in the open much or is he hiding most of the time?

He's eating PE Mysis, Rods food and NLS small pellets at the moment, which is pretty much all I feed my tank besides nori. Always out in the open now.

Cool my friend is getting one for me and I am a little leery about it plus they aint cheap so I will give it a shot

I have had one for a year now, and it is doing fine. It eats frozen foods, mysis, pellets, IO Cyclop-Eeze: in other words, anything that hits the water except flake food. Here is a recent picture:

Have you seen them in schools
Or do they do better by themselves

At the going price for one of these, I think it is unlikely that many people have had experience with schools of them in captivity.
