chalice edge touching glass

I have a chalice plate coral, which I thought was a monti-cap at first. I bought it as a frag and placed it on the rocks. But the edges are still growing horizontally and have began touching the glass.

I was wondering would the coral begin growing on the grass or would this just damage the tissue?

It will start to grow up the glass.

Its should be fine, youll just have an odd shaped chalice lol
