skimmer and UV sterilizer 24x7... is there a reason you would not want to run it continuously? the only time i stop mine is during spot feeding (when all my pumps stop) and when feeding phyto/oyster feast, I'll turn the skimmer off for 30 mins

I have heard of people slowing the flow in their tanks for the night. But most do this through a powerhead controller.

yup everything 24/7. If ur worried about electric the, plum the reactor to the return.
