it has been an adventure gathering all the pieces to start up my tank. thanks to a few people it has been a better process. im still getting use to the hang of things and how things work so a slower setup is better for me. i would love to here any tips and tricks as people have learned the hobby.

plan everything
do your research on everything
have patience
If you have the chance check out other tanks so you get an idea of what you want to do with your tank.

What type of tank are you planning to set up? Fish only? Softies, LPS or SPS mostly?
Most the equipment you will need to get will depend on what set up you want to achieve.

thxs to everyone for the response... i now have my 75 gallon tank up still not completely running but im alost there. all i have inside is sand rocks and water. lol. im being very patient with the setup so its taking me some time for sure. all im missing is my lights. as far as getting together the nicer days are around the corner it sounds like a plan.

patient is the key in this hobby.. Good luck with ur setup if u need any advice lmk.

Go slow and steady and go basic and grow into this hobby. People go to fast and spend alot of money and their tanks don't mature right and next thing they running in all kinds of problems. They get disgusted and next thing you see them selling and getting out of the hobby. The best part of this hobby is growing into it having awesome results at the end.

Apparently there are a lot more Bronx reefers on now, since I took my break from the hobby last year after my tank crashed in a bad power outage when I was stuck out of town... GL with your tank, be patient, don't rush and fully cycle your tank before you add anything to it.

I'm all for meeting Bronx reefers. I'm planning and setting up my Solana 34g AIO soon and I'm gonna need to get my hands on a handful of some chaeto and live sand . I'll bring some beers!
