Color loss

Im going to hop on this thread. First about my tank. I have a 33gallon long with a aqua c remora skimmer (run 24/7), and a large HOB fuge with MM and Cheato. The tank has been set up this way for about one year. This being said I have been having a problem with color in some of my corals (mushrooms and some sps), but still get good growth in SPS but not so much zoas. I do 5gallon water changes once a week using ESV salt. Do you think my skimming is too much? If so how long should the skimmer be run daily?

and i have not been able to check my mag but think due to my frequent water changes it wouldnt be an issue.

any help would be appriciated.

Could be lack of nutrients. What's your bio load?

@ akma I have 2 clowns and a yellow tail damsel (that i cant catch!), 2 turbo snails, and bunch of nass snails

You need to test for mag also- it's important. You need your cal/alk/mag to all be balanced for truly good water quality. Get a mag test kit and see what you're sitting at.

Might not be the issue but i have my salinity up at 1.025
