This is my buddy's tank in Miami. Anyone know what the white root thing is growing on his glass in the back? It's at the top by the pump.

Its a white root thing.. You need to try to get a better picture... If you are not sure what it is, I would take it out. But a better pic may help closer up.

I was going to say similar, but sponges are harmless for the most part. I don't want to give false information that goes on here all the time.
