hi all, havent posted in a while but i got a few questions, thanks in advance for any help

My tank has been set up for 5 months now, my phosphates have slowly been going down from being at a steady .25 for a while and my nitrates have been at zero.

I've yet to get my aqua c 180 to work properly so if anyone has any help on that that would be great!

Im currently running a TLF phosban reactor 150 with ROWAPHOS, my question is I have an extra TLF reactor with a pump and the NPX screens, should i run bio plastics or run carbon, or neither? any input?

my other question is, I had a huge diatom bloom at the beginning, that came and went. Now ive been having this green hair algae all over my glass, since i changed my GFO though and i scraped it off, it hasnt been coming back as much as before, at the same time this happened, i got what i believe to be an amphipod and copepod population explosion in my display and refugium, i mean thousands of them. Is all of this normal?

anyone have any advice on dosing esv 2 part alkalinity and calcium?

If you are already running a phosphate media, then why not just run carbon on your second TLF. No point in adding additional bio media to remove phosphates.
Now if you have been running this system for 5 months then you should have notice a substantial decrease in phosphates. You should look into other means on why you are still having this problem.

Algae blooms are all part of a cycle, as you have bacteria starting to take off you will also have more waste in the tank. This is what causes the algae growth. Especially if you have livestock and you are overfeeding the tank. Honestly, I don't think anyone can tell you what you are doing wrong as you would need to figure out yourself as to why you are getting algae growth.

Fix those problems before you start putting yourself into more problems, then start to bandaid problems and create more.
